Simon gives the Grand Prairie AirHogs late push to beat the Wichita Wingnuts, 10-5

Keanon Simon drove in the go-ahead run to give the Grand Prairie AirHogs (34-13) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Grand Prairie AirHogs hung on to beat the Wichita Wingnuts (31-15) 10-5 on Friday.

Trent Lockwood reached on an error to start the sixth. He then went from first to third. Finally, Simon came to the plate with the score tied at four, and tripled, bringing home Lockwood, Zane Chavez and Yasutsugu Nishimoto.

Simon racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. He tripled in the sixth inning.

It was a good day at the plate for the Grand Prairie AirHogs' Greg Porter. Porter went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second and fourth innings and homered in the sixth inning.

John Rodriguez racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Wichita Wingnuts. He homered in the first inning.

Josh Strawn improved to 6-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out seven, walked three and surrendered six hits.

Josh Lowey (8-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
