The El Paso Diablos defeat the Laredo Lemurs after late game single, 6-3

The El Paso Diablos (7-27) and the Laredo Lemurs (16-19) passed the lead back and forth five times on Sunday at Cohen Stadium, but in the end the El Paso Diablos pulled out a 6-3 win over the Laredo Lemurs.

Nelson Teilon got on base three times in the game for the El Paso Diablos. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first and third innings.

The Laredo Lemurs couldn't get anything going as long as Kyle Cremers was pitching. Cremers held the Laredo Lemurs hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

It was a good day at the plate for the Laredo Lemurs' Javier Brito. Brito went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Scott Hodsdon improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the El Paso Diablos. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Todd Privett (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
