Both the Kansas City T-Bones (17-17) and the Amarillo Sox (19-15) put runners aboard on Friday, but it was the Kansas City T-Bones that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 3-1 win at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

The Kansas City T-Bones staved off the Amarillo Sox as the Amarillo Sox were unable to match the Kansas City T-Bones down the stretch.

The Amarillo Sox scored one run in the fifth on a solo home run by Chuck Lofgren. Unfortunately, the Amarillo Sox weren't able to take the lead back.

Brian Grening picked up the win for the Kansas City T-Bones. Grening pitched eight innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out three.

Phil Bartleski ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
