Juan M. Richardson was cold coming off the bench, but M. Richardson warmed up quickly as M. Richardson stroked a key pinch-hit single in the one to lead the Wichita (24-8) to a 6-2 win over the Amarillo (18-14) on Wednesday at Lawrence Dumont Stadium.
With the game scoreless in the first inning M. Richardson came to the plate and singled, scoring Ryan Khoury.
M. Richardson racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Wichita.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the third, with five lead changes.
The Amarillo had no answer for Ben Graham, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Graham gave up just three hits, allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out four during his six innings of work.
Justin Garcia (1-1) took the loss for the Amarillo. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked two and struck out four.
