An awesome effort by Fabian Williamson carried the Winnipeg (17-6) to a 4-0 win over the Lincoln (11-14) on Monday at Shaw Park.
Williamson struck out 11, paving the way for a the Winnipeg win. The Winnipeg's pitcher gave up just three hits over 6 2/3 shutout innings.
The Winnipeg got their bats going early, scoring three runs in the first inning to pull ahead of the Lincoln. A three-run home run by Jon Weber delivered the runs in the first. The Winnipeg had two hits in the inning.
Weber racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Winnipeg.
Justin R. Edwards couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Lincoln, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
