The Sioux Falls scored on a two-run single by Cesar Nicolas and a two-run home run by Cristian Guerrero in the sixth inning and an RBI single by Trevor Lawhorn in the ninth inning. Despite their efforts, the Sioux Falls couldn't get over the hump.
Ronnie Bourquin racked up three RBIs on two hits for the St Paul. He doubled in the third inning and homered in the fourth inning.
Chris Odegaard got the win, running his season record to 1-3. He allowed four runs over 7 2/3 innings. Odegaard struck out six, walked one and gave up nine hits.
Peter Gehle (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked two and struck out one.
