The Newark blew out the St Paul (9-7) 7-1 on Sunday at Bears _ Eagles Riverfront Stadi after pouring on four runs in the fifth inning.

Burt Reynolds had a hot bat for the Newark. Reynolds went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Mike Ness picked up the win for the Newark. Ness pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out four.

Ronnie Bourquin was solid at the plate for the St Paul. Bourquin went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Alberto Rolon (1-1) took the loss for the St Paul. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked none and struck out four.
