A walk-off sacrifice fly from Trevor Coleman brought home the winning run for the Kansas City (10-9) in a 2-1 victory over the Amarillo (11-8) in 10 innings at CommunityAmerica Ballpark on Sunday.
The Kansas City were led by Gus Milner's hitting. Milner went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Josh Rainwater allowed one earned run, five hits and no walks while striking out two over eight innings of work.
Jacob Wiley recorded his first win of the year for the Kansas City. Wiley struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.
Trent Lare (1-2) took the loss for the Amarillo. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
