Matt Cusick brought home the winning run to give the Winnipeg (6-2) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Winnipeg hung on to beat the El Paso (1-8) 7-6 on Friday.

Chris Roberson singled to start the seventh. He then went from second to third. Finally, Cusick came to the plate with the Winnipeg trailing by one in the seventh inning, and singled, bringing home Roberson.

The Winnipeg were led by Cusick's hitting. Cusick went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

In the top of the first, the Winnipeg grabbed the early lead, 1-0. The Winnipeg 's rally started when Roberson singled.

It didn't take long for the El Paso to answer as they scored one run of their own in the first. The El Paso scored on an RBI single by Patrick Arlis.
