Wade Morton had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits. He homered in the second inning, singled in the fourth inning, and doubled in the first and seventh innings.
Robert Covarrubias struck out 10, paving the way for a the California Glory win. Covarrubias allowed two earned runs, six hits and three walks over nine innings.
A bright spot for the Fresno Cardinals in the defeat was Julio Ponce, who allowed only one run while striking out six.
Michael Isom (3-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in one inning, walked one and struck out none.
The California Glory were sparked by Morton and Tyler Stieb, who teamed up for six hits and five RBIs.
