The Top Speed Baseball offense too much for the Fresno Cardinals in 13-2 rout

Story by Narrative Science.

The Top Speed Baseball (27-20) shut the door early on the Fresno Cardinals (23-12), capturing a 13-2 victory on Saturday at College of Alameda.

With six runs in the first three innings, the Top Speed Baseball left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A groundout by Randall Packard during the first inning fueled the Top Speed Baseball's offense early.

Jeff Deblieux had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the third and fifth innings.

The Top Speed Baseball got the win thanks in large part to Adam Bray's dominant, six-strikeout performance. Bray allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk over seven innings.

Clay Gartner (3-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 11 runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.

Billy Linney, Deblieux, Packard and Grant McCoury helped lead the Top Speed Baseball. They combined for nine hits and nine RBIs.
