Three first-inning runs helped the Youses Orioles (20-20) to a 5-3 win over the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts (9-33) at Bachman Park on Monday.

The Youses Orioles would not relinquish the lead as the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts were unable to weather a four-run fifth inning deficit.

The Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts scored on an RBI single by Jake Taylor in the sixth inning and and a sacrifice fly by Jake Huxtable in the seventh inning. Despite their efforts, the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts couldn't get over the hump.

Brendan Butler led the Youses Orioles' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fifth innings.

Bobby Ruse brought the heat against the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts during his outing. Ruse held the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two.

David Sapp got the win, running his season record to 2-2. He allowed three runs over six innings. Sapp struck out six, walked three and gave up five hits.
