The Youses Orioles (20-20) continued to pile up the runs on Saturday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 15-5 win over the Alexandria Aces (20-21) at Frank Mann Field.
The Youses Orioles scored six runs in the fifth on a single by Ryan Metzler, an RBI single by KJ Hockaday, an RBI single by Ryan Ripken, a single by Brock Niggebrugge, , a sacrifice fly by Allan Bencid, an error, and a two-run error.
Dominic Fratantuono was hot from the plate for the Youses Orioles. Fratantuono went 3-5, drove in one and scored three runs. He homered in the second inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.
Bobby Ruse brought the heat against the Alexandria Aces during his outing. The Alexandria Aces managed just one hit off of Ruse, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.
Chris Sweeney racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Alexandria Aces. He homered in the third inning.
D.J. Park recorded his fourth win for the Youses Orioles even though he allowed five runs over six innings. Park struck out five, walked three and gave up five hits.
Jamie Treml ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed 12 runs in five innings, walked two and struck out three.
