Boxscore | Game Recap | Boxscore Text Version | Gamelive Version

The Vienna River Dogs take out the Baltimore Redbirds with help from Scoville, 7-2

Story by Narrative Science.

Aaron Scoville went 4-4 at the plate as the Vienna River Dogs (13-9) took home a 7-2 victory over the Baltimore Redbirds (15-8) in seven innings at Calvert Hall HS on Sunday.

He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

The Baltimore Redbirds had no answer for Bret Williams, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Baltimore Redbirds managed just two hits off of Williams, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out five during his four innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Baltimore Redbirds' Sean Keselica dominated the Vienna River Dogs' batters, giving up two runs and striking out six.

The Baltimore Redbirds were led by a flawless day at the dish by Kyle Neverman, who went 2-2 against the Vienna River Dogs' pitching. He doubled in the fifth innings and singled in the seventh inning.

Keselica ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year.
