The Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts (8-14) beat the Vienna River Dogs (13-9) 7-4 on Thursday at Blair Stadium behind Jake Taylor, who collected three hits.

Taylor Topping picked up the win for the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts. Topping allowed one earned run, eight hits and two walks while striking out two over seven innings of work.

Trent Higginbothem put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Vienna River Dogs. He doubled in the first and eighth innings.

Justin Albright (2-1) took the loss for the Vienna River Dogs. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
