A walk-off solo home run from Kyle Neverman brought home the winning run for the Baltimore Redbirds (15-8) in a 3-2 victory over the Bethesda Big Train in 10 innings at Calvert Hall HS on Wednesday.
Neverman put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Baltimore Redbirds. He doubled in the fifth inning and homered in the tenth inning.
Trevor Kelley brought the heat against the Bethesda Big Train (12-10) during his outing. Kelley held the Bethesda Big Train hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five.
Will Resnick (0-1) took the loss for the Bethesda Big Train. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed one run.
