A walk-off three-run home run from Josh Powell brought home the winning run for the D.C. Grays (8-9) in a 12-11 victory over the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts (6-9) at Hoy Field on Monday.
Powell racked up three RBIs on two hits for the D.C. Grays. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the ninth inning.
Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 23 runs and 31 hits, including zero extra base hits. Both bullpens were busy with seven pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.
Kris Moules racked up three RBIs on three hits for the D.C. Grays. He singled in the fourth and fifth innings and homered in the seventh inning.
