Both the Lancaster Barnstormers (78-42) and the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (58-61) put runners aboard on Sunday, but it was the Lancaster Barnstormers that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 5-4 win at Clipper Magazine.

The Lancaster Barnstormers would not relinquish the lead as the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs were unable to weather a two-run fourth inning deficit.

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs scored on an RBI single by Mike Daniel in the sixth inning and an RBI single by Brian Barton in the ninth inning. Despite their efforts, the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs couldn't finish the comeback.

It was a good day at the plate for the Lancaster Barnstormers' Blake Gailen. Gailen went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning and singled in the seventh inning.

John Halama got the win, running his season record to 12-7. He allowed three runs over seven innings. Halama struck out three, walked one and gave up 10 hits.

Nick Green (8-9) took the loss for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
