Burgamy gives the Camden Riversharks late push to beat the Sugar Land Skeeters, 4-2

Brian Burgamy drove in the go-ahead run to give the Camden Riversharks (55-61) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Camden Riversharks hung on to beat the Sugar Land Skeeters (53-65) 4-2 on Friday.

Lloyd Turner singled to start the seventh. He then went from first to second on a single by Steve Doetsch. Finally, Burgamy came to the plate with the score tied at two, and singled, scoring Turner.

Doetsch had a hot bat for the Camden Riversharks. Doetsch went 2-2 and scored two runs. He singled in the sixth and seventh innings.

The Camden Riversharks relied on Mike McGuire to eat up innings en route to the win. McGuire pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out five.

Dionys Cesar got on base two times in the game for the Sugar Land Skeeters. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning.

Jeff Farnsworth (1-4) took the loss for the Sugar Land Skeeters. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
