David Jones kept the Bridgeport Bluefish (50-56) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (51-56) beat the Bridgeport Bluefish, 4-0.

Jones allowed three hits, two walks and struck out six.

Matt Padgett was solid at the plate for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. Padgett went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Brad Thompson was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just nine innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
