Offenses dominate as the Long Island Ducks outscore the Lancaster Barnstormers 15-12

The bats were busy at Bethpage Ballpark on Friday, and when the dust cleared the Long Island Ducks (52-53) had a 15-12 win over the Lancaster Barnstormers (68-38).

The teams totaled 36 hits in the game.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to six lead changes in the game.

Matt Esquivel racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Long Island Ducks. He doubled in the third innings, homered in the third inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

The Lancaster Barnstormers couldn't get anything going as long as Jeremy Hill was on the mound. Hill held the Lancaster Barnstormers hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Eric Niesen recorded his second win of the year for the Long Island Ducks. He allowed four runs over 1 2/3 innings. Niesen struck out one, walked two and gave up three hits.

Joe Bateman couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Lancaster Barnstormers, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

The Long Island Ducks easily handled the Lancaster Barnstormers pitching as seven hitters combined for 19 hits, 14 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
