Ninth-inning rally sparks blowout win for the Lancaster Barnstormers, 9-2

A five-run explosion in the ninth inning carried the Lancaster Barnstormers (66-36) to a 9-2 win over the Sugar Land Skeeters at Constellation Field, Sugar Land on Wednesday.

Adam Godwin got on base four times in the game for the Lancaster Barnstormers. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth and ninth innings.

The Sugar Land Skeeters (45-58) had no answer for Mark Brackman, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Sugar Land Skeeters managed just three hits off of Brackman, who allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out one during his 5 2/3 innings of work.

Steve Moss had a hot bat for the Sugar Land Skeeters. Moss went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Jason Lane ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
