York Revolution vs Bridgeport Bluefish: 7-8

The Bridgeport Bluefish's Jones comes through in the clutch, upends the York Revolution, 8-7

Kennard Jones brought home the winning run to give the Bridgeport Bluefish (37-44) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Bridgeport Bluefish hung on to beat the York Revolution (40-41) 8-7 on Monday.

Luis Figueroa to start the eighth. He then went from first to second on a groundout by Angel Flores. Finally, Jones came to the plate with the score tied at six, and singled, scoring Figueroa.

Jones racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Bridgeport Bluefish. He singled in the third and eighth innings.

The Bridgeport Bluefish would not relinquish the lead as the York Revolution were unable to weather a two-run eighth inning deficit.

The York Revolution scored one run in the ninth on an RBI single by James Shanks. Despite their efforts, the York Revolution couldn't finish the comeback.

Prentice Redman racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Bridgeport Bluefish. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

The York Revolution couldn't get anything going so long as Jonah Bayliss was on the hill. The York Revolution managed just two hits off of Bayliss, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Jesse English improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bridgeport Bluefish. English struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.

Kris Regas ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
