Doetsch leads the Camden Riversharks to 7-5 win over the Lancaster Barnstormers

An exceptional effort by Steve Doetsch led the Camden Riversharks (38-37) to a 7-5 win in eight innings over the Lancaster Barnstormers (49-27) on Thursday at Clipper Magazine.

Doetsch blasted two home runs for the Camden Riversharks. Doetsch went 2-3 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Doetsch homered in the fourth and sixth innings.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the sixth, with seven lead changes.

Spencer Steedley brought the heat against the Lancaster Barnstormers during his outing. Steedley gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Mariano Gomez recorded his third win of the year for the Camden Riversharks. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered five hits.

J.D. Durbin couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Lancaster Barnstormers, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked two and struck out seven.
