The Utica (15-11) blew out the GEN Red Wings (9-14) 12-3 on Thursday at McDonough Park after pouring on seven runs in the sixth inning.

Andrew McNett went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Utica. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.

David Sharpe had an impressive outing against the GEN Red Wings' lineup. The GEN Red Wings managed just three hits off of Sharpe, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Despite the loss, the GEN Red Wings' Cory Finkler dominated the Utica's batters, giving up zero runs and striking out five.

Jeff Croteau couldn't get it done on the mound for the GEN Red Wings, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in five innings, walked none and struck out five.
