An excellent effort by Cody Campbell lifted the Adirondack (22-18) to a 6-5 win over the GEN Red Wings (18-22) on Wednesday at Robert Smith Sports Complex .
Campbell rocked the GEN Red Wings with two home runs. Campbell went 4-4 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Campbell homered in the fourth and sixth innings.
The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.
The Adirondack staved off the GEN Red Wings as the GEN Red Wings were unable to match the Adirondack down the stretch.
The GEN Red Wings scored one run in the eighth on two singles. Despite their efforts, the GEN Red Wings couldn't get over the hump.
Dylan Griswold improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Adirondack. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out one, walked four and surrendered nine hits.
Jeff Croteau (2-4) took the loss for the GEN Red Wings. He allowed six runs in 6 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out four.
