The Sherrill (8-14) and the SYR Salt Cats (8-14) each put runners in scoring position on Sunday, but the Sherrill capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out an 8-6 win at LeMoyne College Field.
The Sherrill would not relinquish the lead as the SYR Salt Cats were unable to weather a five-run sixth inning deficit.
The SYR Salt Cats scored on a sacrifice fly by Jake Cintolo in the eighth inning and a hit by pitch and a double by Ethan Braddock in the ninth inning. Still, the SYR Salt Cats couldn't catch the Sherrill.

Oliver Pratt picked up the win for the Sherrill. Pratt allowed two earned runs, nine hits and no walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.
Joe Riley (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
