Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the SYR Salt Cats (3-11) outscored the Sherrill (6-9) 11-10.

The two teams combined for 21 hits in the game.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to six lead changes in the game.

The SYR Salt Cats finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fifth inning. A sacrifice fly by Nick Carlson scored Dan Fiorito and gave the SYR Salt Cats the lead for good.

The SYR Salt Cats staved off the Sherrill as the Sherrill were unable to match the SYR Salt Cats down the stretch.

The Sherrill scored four runs in the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Wesley Van Boom and a three-run triple by Bryon Campbell. Still, the Sherrill couldn't catch the SYR Salt Cats.

Jimmy Napolitano racked up three RBIs on two hits for the SYR Salt Cats. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the fifth inning.

Roberto Morales recorded his first win of the year for the SYR Salt Cats. Morales struck out none, walked three and gave up one hit.

Jordan Doroshenko (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked two and struck out two.
