The SYR Salt Cats (2-11) didn't stand a chance on Wednesday, as the Utica (7-6) captured a blowout 15-5 win at Donovan Stadium.

The Utica scored five runs in the sixth on a passed ball, an RBI single by Blaine Tanner, , a passed ball, a fielder's choice, and a double by Daniel De La Calle.

Tanner racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Utica.

Jordan Sechler racked up five strikeouts in the the Utica win. Sechler allowed one earned run, four hits and four walks over six innings.

Zack Sutherland couldn't get it done on the rubber for the SYR Salt Cats, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked one and struck out none.

The Utica pounded the SYR Salt Cats pitching, as six hitters combined for 14 hits, 10 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
