The SYR JR Chiefs (24-8) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Utica (19-15), recording a 14-7 victory on Wednesday at Donovan Stadium.

With six runs in the first three innings, the SYR JR Chiefs left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI double by Alexander Sanchez Jr. and an RBI single by Corey Caswell during the first inning fueled the SYR JR Chiefs' offense early.
