Alex Basso pitched seven shutout innings to lift the SYR JR Chiefs (10-2) to a 10-2 win over the Sherrill (6-11) at Noyes Park.

The SYR JR Chiefs left no doubt in the outcome with five runs in the seventh.

Brian Witkowski racked up three RBIs on two hits for the SYR JR Chiefs. He homered in the seventh inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Oliver Pratt (2-1) took the loss for the Sherrill. He allowed seven runs in seven innings, walked one and struck out six.
