The Hornell (22-10) and the GEN Twins (16-19) each put runners in scoring position on Wednesday, but the Hornell capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 3-2 win at McDonough Park.

The GEN Twins scored on an RBI single by Michael Allen in the third inning and a groundout by Adam Dickinson in the sixth inning. Despite their efforts, the GEN Twins couldn't get over the hump.
Will Benenson had a hot bat for the Hornell. Benenson went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.
Erik Eck racked up eight strikeouts in the the Hornell win. Eck allowed one earned run on seven hits and no walks over six innings.
Chris Casto was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
