The Hornell (13-6) didn't stand a chance on Wednesday, as the Wellsville (9-13) captured a blowout 11-4 win at Maple City Park.
An RBI single by Chandler Sidwell and a three-run double by Kolin McMillen helped the Wellsville score four runs in the fifth. The Wellsville had four hits in the inning.
McMillen racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Wellsville.
Kevin Johnson did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Hornell, reaching base four times. He singled in the first and sixth innings and tripled in the eighth inning.
Brandon Terry recorded his second win of the year for the Wellsville. He allowed one run over 4 2/3 innings. He struck out six, walked one and surrendered six hits.
Matt Danton (0-2) took the loss for the Hornell. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked none and struck out four.
