The GEN Twins (6-6) and the Wellsville (6-10) both threatened with rallies, but it was the GEN Twins that eventually took advantage of them in a 6-5 win at McDonough Park.
The GEN Twins would not relinquish the lead as the Wellsville were unable to weather a two-run sixth inning deficit.
The Wellsville scored one run in the seventh on a solo home run by Montana Timmons. Unfortunately, the Wellsville weren't able to take the lead back.
Zach Connelly got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He allowed one run over 3 1/3 innings. Connelly struck out four, walked two and gave up three hits.
Henry Johnson (1-2) took the loss for the Wellsville. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
