The Olean top the Hornell in back-and-forth affair, 8-5

The Olean (4-2) and the Hornell (3-2) passed the lead back and forth seven times on Saturday at Maple City Park, but in the end the Olean pulled out an 8-5 win over the Hornell.

The Olean finally managed to grab the lead after a strong ninth inning. A steal of home by Adam Urchel gave the Olean the lead for good.

It was a good day at the plate for the Olean's Joe Pantano. Pantano went 4-5 and scored two runs. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third, fourth, and eighth innings.

Heath Burton was solid at the plate for the Hornell. Burton went 2-4 and scored one run. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Jon Kemmer improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Olean. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Erik Eck (0-1) took the loss for the Hornell. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
