An ace performance by Jon Menke lifted the GEN Twins (3-2) to a 14-0 win over the Wellsville (2-5) on Saturday at Wellsville Central.
The Wellsville had no answer for Menke, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Menke gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out 10 during his six innings of work.
The GEN Twins didn't let up, as they kept racking up runs until the end. The GEN Twins scored three runs in the last three innings to finish off the blowout win. The GEN Twins scored seven runs in the fifth on a two-run single by Adam Dickinson, an RBI single by Matt Anthonis, a hit by pitch, an RBI single by Nicholas Taylor, a passed ball, and a two-run single by Dillon Hamlin.
Hamlin racked up three RBIs on three hits for the GEN Twins.
Evan Robaczewski couldn't get it done on the bump for the Wellsville, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
