The Geneva TW (0-1) were never able to get over the hump and overcome their troubles against the Olean (1-0) on Sunday, as the Geneva TW fell 3-2 at McDonough Park after falling behind by two runs in the fourth inning.

The Geneva TW scored on a passed ball and a groundout by Luke Thoms in the fourth inning and a groundout by Stephen Joe in the eighth inning. Despite their efforts, the Geneva TW couldn't finish the comeback.

Brandon Nemeti picked up the win for the Olean. Nemeti pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and four walks while striking out three.

Anthony Dovale was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Olean batters and allowing zero runs.

Justin Ratte couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Geneva TW, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
