The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (29-36) took home a marathon 6-5 victory over the Long Island Ducks (39-25) on Tuesday at Bethpage Ballpark.
With the Long Island Ducks trailing by one, Matt Fleishman came to the plate and singled, bringing home Mitch Canham.
Fleishman helped the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs pull ahead for the duration in the sixth inning.
Matt Padgett put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fifth and eighth innings.
Chris Mobley improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. Mobley struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.
Jeremy Hill ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
