The Somerset Patriots (29-31) outlasted the Bridgeport Bluefish (25-35) on Thursday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 4-2 win at TD Bank Ballpark.

Roy Merritt picked up the win for the Somerset Patriots. Merritt pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, five hits and two walks while striking out two.

Brock Peterson reached base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning.

Kyle Zaleski couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Bridgeport Bluefish, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
