The Long Island Ducks survive the Camden Riversharks rally, escape with 3-2 victory

The Camden Riversharks (24-27) were unable to fight back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Long Island Ducks (30-21), and the Camden Riversharks lost 3-2 to the Long Island Ducks after falling behind by two runs in the seventh inning.

The Camden Riversharks scored one run in the eighth on an RBI single by Steve Doetsch. Still, the Camden Riversharks couldn't catch the Long Island Ducks.

The Long Island Ducks were led by Kraig Binick's hitting. Binick went 4-5 and drove in one. He singled in the first, third, seventh, and ninth innings.

Randy Keisler struck out eight, paving the way for a the Long Island Ducks win. Keisler allowed two earned runs, six hits and no walks over seven innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the Camden Riversharks' Drew Macias. Macias went 2-3 and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the eighth inning.

Ricky Brooks ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
