The Pittsfield Suns (22-21) blew out the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (22-20) 10-0 on Monday at Wahconah Park after pouring on seven runs in the first inning.

Travis Smith racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Pittsfield Suns. He doubled in the first and fourth innings.

Matt Gage struck out four, paving the way for a the Pittsfield Suns win. The Pittsfield Suns' pitcher tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed only five hits.

Matt Hegarty (0-3) took the loss for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He allowed seven runs in one-third of an inning, walked none and struck out one.
