Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Brockton Rox (21-20) outscored the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (22-18) 10-9 in 13 innings.

The teams totaled 33 hits in the game.

Sean Ryan pushed the Brockton Rox ahead, in the thirteenth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. With the score tied at nine in the thirteenth inning, Ryan came to the plate and doubled, plating Mike Lupia.

Ryan had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the second and thirteenth innings.

Michael Romano improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Brockton Rox. Romano struck out none, walked none and gave up three hits.

Matt Doyle ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed one run.
