A superb effort by Jonathan Rosenberger lifted the Brockton Rox (9-10) to an 8-1 win over the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (5-16) on Saturday at Campanelli Stadium.
Rosenberger had an impressive outing against the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs' lineup. The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs managed just one hit off of Rosenberger, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out seven during his seven innings of work.
The Brockton Rox blew out the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs thanks to 11 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Brockton Rox scored four runs in the second on an RBI triple by A.J. Lardo, a two-run single by Joe Gallub, a two-run single by Gallub, and an RBI triple by Sean Ryan.
Ryan racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Brockton Rox.
Mike Murphy ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked one and struck out four.
