The North Shore Navigators (9-3) and the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide (4-6) passed the lead back and forth four times on Thursday at The Ball Park, but in the end the North Shore Navigators pulled out a 5-4 win in 12 innings over the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide.
The North Shore Navigators finally managed to grab the lead after a strong twelfth inning. A sacrifice fly by Ryan Muno scored Tim Hendricks and gave the North Shore Navigators the lead for good.
It was a good day at the plate for the North Shore Navigators' Hendricks. Hendricks went 3-6, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings and doubled in the twelfth inning.
The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide had no answer for Miles Landry, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Landry held the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.
Nick Whittaker (0-1) took the loss for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
