Monday was a great day for Derek Richards, as Richards tossed a no-hitter to carry the Torrington Titans (27-21) to a 4-0 victory over the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (25-24) at Fuessenich Park in seven innings.

Conor Bierfeldt racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Torrington Titans. He homered in the third inning.

Richards recorded his sixth win of the year for the Torrington Titans. He struck out five, walked four and surrendered no hits.

Dan Weigel ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out seven, and allowed four runs.
