The Brockton Rox (1-1) beat the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (0-3) 6-2 on Saturday at Campanelli Stadium behind Tanner Reibenspies, who collected three hits.
He singled in the third, fourth, and sixth innings.It was a good day at the plate for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs' Shane Keddy. Keddy went 2-4. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the fourth inning.
Max Tishman recorded his first win of the year for the Brockton Rox. He allowed two runs over five innings. Tishman struck out seven, walked one and gave up five hits.
Mike Spinosa couldn't get it done on the bump for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
