The Saskatoon Yellow Jackets (17-23) took the last of seven lead changes in a back-and-forth affair against the Yorkton Cardinals (13-30), securing a 7-6 victory on Monday at Jubilee Park.

The Saskatoon Yellow Jackets finally managed to grab the lead after a strong ninth inning. A sacrifice fly by Cory Osborne scored Hans Ask and gave the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets the lead for good.

The Saskatoon Yellow Jackets came out swinging, scoring three runs in the first inning to jump ahead of the Yorkton Cardinals early. A three-run home run by Jordan Chiero delivered the runs in the first. The Saskatoon Yellow Jackets had three hits in the inning.

Ask racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets. He homered in the seventh inning.

Roby Romero kept contact to a minimum, striking out nine the Yorkton Cardinals batters. The Saskatoon Yellow Jackets' pitcher gave up just three hits over four shutout innings.

Corey Thompson couldn't get it done on the hill for the Yorkton Cardinals, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
