The Regina Red Sox survive the Melville Millionaires rally, escape with 5-4 victory

The Melville Millionaires (17-12) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the Regina Red Sox (21-6), and the Melville Millionaires lost 5-4 to the Regina Red Sox after falling behind by four runs in the third inning.

The Melville Millionaires scored three runs in the fourth on an error and two singles. Unfortunately, the Melville Millionaires weren't able to take the lead back.

Chris George pitched lights out for the Regina Red Sox. George held the Melville Millionaires hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Will Gietema racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Melville Millionaires. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Jon Mark Abbey couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Melville Millionaires, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out eight, and allowed five runs.
