Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Monday as the Weyburn Beavers (9-16) outscored the Edmonton Prospects (6-16) 15-14.
The two teams combined for 30 hits in the game.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the ninth, with four lead changes.
DeMontez Jones went a perfect 5-5 at the plate for the Weyburn Beavers. He singled in the first, third, fifth, sixth, and ninth innings.
The Edmonton Prospects couldn't get anything going as long as Daniel Brown was on the mound. The Edmonton Prospects managed just two hits off of the the Weyburn Beavers' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked five and struck out five during his 5 2/3 innings of work.
Aubrey Dezarn (1-3) took the loss for the Edmonton Prospects. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
