The Yorkton Cardinals (6-9) and the Lethbridge Bulls (7-9) each put runners in scoring position on Thursday, but the Yorkton Cardinals capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out an 8-5 win at Spitz Stadium.

Brett Smith paced the Yorkton Cardinals at the plate. Smith went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second, sixth, and seventh innings.

Ridge Gonsoulin racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Lethbridge Bulls. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Travis Donahoo improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Yorkton Cardinals. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out six, walked three and surrendered nine hits.

Austin Church was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.
